Magento

I would like to add a Character Limit to the Attributes and then have them show on the item page how many are left..... any way to do this, i see in the manage Attributes there is not an option to set as memo, or text field, i do not want the name to have more then 250 Characters..

I want to do something similar. I want to limit name and short description char number. Nafnaf, do you find anyway to do that?? Anyone know how to do this??

just a crack what about something like....

$name=product name
0=start position
50=length of string
