The modern theme is not installing

other contributions are working fine, just cant install the modern theme? If anyone has the theme can they email it to me at ant (at)sixredsquares.com. Is this due to the fact that the connect cant find the stable version and so tries to install the beta?

The modern interface is still in beta, so you won’t be able to install it within magenta connect in the admin area.  You’ll have to run pear install from the command prompt and force it to install the beta release.

From the shell prompt, go to the magento directory.

You should see the “pear” executable.  Run the following command:

./pear install -f magento-core/Interface_Frontend_Default_Modern

Actually, I just notice the “Settings” tab in Magento Connect.

Just select “Beta” in the dropdown list.  You should then be able to install the beta versions of the Theme.
