Is there (or will there be) a module/component for an affiliate program (such as idevaffiliate or other)?
Most of my marketing comes from affiliate relationships.

iDevAffiliate - http://www.idevdirect.com/ is perhaps the most widely used and known affiliate program out there.
It usually integrates easily with any apps.
Either would be simple to integrate into Magento and will have more features than the Magento team could ever hope to put together since their focus is on the actual eCommerce side of things.
The problem is, that while both might be easy to integrate, they still take time to do so. At least a few hours (at least). When I tell my client that they can have magento set up with an affiliate program for $165 ($55/hr * 3 hrs...and I don’t think I’d quote it at three hours), or they can go buy Cubecart for $180, knowing that if ____ affiliate program doesn’t work they can switch to another one at no extra charge...guess which one they choose.
I don’t want magento to build in affiliate marketing on their own, I want them to support the main ones (like cubecart does): clixGalore, iDevAffiliate, JROX, etc. However, I want it come as part of the packages...as included plugins. I don’t want to have to do the integration myself.
We have sucessfully integrated IDev Affiliate Tracking Software into our Magento stores and can help anyone interested in doing the same for their stores.
