Hello,

Magento CE 1.7.0.1
I had a problem with images upload, maybe this can help some of you.

When I try to add images on a product :
> Click on Browse Files..
> Select files..
> Click on Upload Files.

No error message, but images don\’t display and there is red borders on each filenames. However I can see that files are uploaded in media/tmp/catalog/product.
So i can\’t figure why they don\’t appear in Admin panel..

Firebug panel reports a console.log of image informations in JSON, everything looks OK. So I tried to find where did the console.log come from :

js/mage/adminhtml/product.js - Line 96

handleUploadComplete : function(files{
    files
.each( function(item{

if (!item.response.isJSON()) {

try {
                console
.log(item.response);

catch (e2{
                alert(item
.response);

}

return;

}

This puts in evidence that \"item.response.isJSON()\" failed, even if the json string looks ok.
I don\’t know why, but there is a mysterious char (code 65279) at the beginning of the json string \"item.response\".
So here is a way to fix it. It did the trick for me.

handleUploadComplete : function(files{
    files
.each( function(item{

var fix_inc 0;
        while(
item.response.charCodeAt(fix_inc) != \'123\')  fix_inc++;
        var
fix_tmp item.response.substring(fix_inc,item.response.length);

item.response fix_tmp;

        if (!
item.response.isJSON()) {

try {
                console
.log(item.response);

catch (e2{
                alert(item
.response);

}

return;

}

Maybe it can help someone ?

Hi all!
It must be the longest theme on data import to Magento. I would like to ask, Maybe someone had already used File2cart to add data to the store catalogue? Can I import products with images using this tool? I am in the lack of time, so I need something to do the work for me.
Or any other idea?

Hi friends,

i was facing the same problem, when i moved my website (Magento 1.7 version) to a new server.
i just created the var/tmp folder in it works for me.
then you can try the ways to change the php settings on the server by php.ini, .htaccess & ini_set();

Goto this file: app\code\core\Mage\Core\Model\Session\Abstract\Varien.php

and comment this three lines
‘domain’ => $cookie->getConfigDomain(),
‘secure’ => $cookie->isSecure(),
‘httponly’ => $cookie->getHttponly()

Then Browse Image button will come.... smile

Thanks and Regards,
Vishnu Nagarajan
