Automatically generate a SKU

finch8243 Total Posts: 51 Joined: 2007-08-31 Ignore user	I’d like it so that if I do not specify a product SKU, then Magento auto-generates one. Or takes some variation of the primary ID. Looks like others want this feature too: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/5537/

sherrie Total Posts: 872 Joined: 2007-12-14 Illinois, USA Ignore user	If you’re using Configurable Products, it does this already - you set the SKU for the Configurable Product and it auto-generates the SKUs for all the simple products associated with it. Not sure if that helps you at all.
