something, somewhere in the default theme is overriding my hyperlink styles. anyone know what it could be?

my custom css, placed in boxes.css at the end
i already deleted the body style from reset.css

.heab {
    font
-familyArialverdanasans-serif;
    
font-size12px;
    
color#FFFFFF;
}
.heab A:link {
    font
-familyArialverdanasans-serif;
    
font-size12px;
    
color#FFFFFF;
}
.heab A:visited {
    font
-familyArialverdanasans-serif;
    
font-size12px;
    
color#FFFFFF;
}
after i put in the code, i try to call it from inside of top.phtml in the catalog folder

check out the reset.css, to either remove the a and a:hover styles

Alternatively, you can add !important to the color

color: #FFFFFF!important

Also, you can simplify your CSS code like so;

.heab a {
font: 12px Arial, verdana, sans-serif;
color: #FFF!important;
}

the ‘.heab a’ will take care of .heab (if you don’t need special style for unlinked text) a:visited, a:link. If you need a hover element, you can add something like this

.heab a:hover {.....}
