Hi, I have a client who’s asked me to implement a shopping cart that will do a bulk import of products on an hourly basis.

The reason for the bulk import would be his POS exports products and their stock levels. Every hour the system is updated with that information.

I immediately thought of Magento but due to my inexperience with the product (long-time osCommerce user), I have no idea how easy(complex?) this would be.

Anyone have any idea?

you need to have a look at the import / export profiles - you can set it to grab from a ftp server - that is where I would start looking.
