Ive run the downloader entered the download tag and no errors were recieved. Now how do i select the theme? Ive been looking everywhere for help on this but can’t find any?

Also are there any alternatives to using the magento downloader as isn’t it a big security risk to be giving the magento root folder public write permissions just so the downloader can work?

Bump. I’m also wanting to know how to correctly setup this theme on all pages. When I assign it in the config, my pages load blank on the front end, unless I select the custom theme for the design of that product or page.

I got modern theme installed, however there are a few differences.

- no 3 column-layout
- no dropdown for 2nd store view (language)
- no customer support link in footer

Same thing is happening in magento demo store.

Are these design changes or do I have to change some settings?

Category (+ chid) layout set to 3 columns but there are only 2.
