How do I create a category for information? I would like to have a drop down menu for my Family History, Recipes…

Take a look at what I have now: http://sciabica.hhhost.net/magento/

I would like to ditch the additional nav bar and put those links up next to “Cookbooks”

Well, I’m assuming that the pages that you created for that additional information are CMS pages, right? Instead of cms pages create static blocks. So simply copy your html out of the cms page into a new block. Now, create a category called “Family History”, “Recipes” etc and set the category type to static block only and anchor set to no. Assign the correct static block and and set the category to active and the cms page will now be part of the main navigation.

Thank you.  Works like a charm.  I should have thought of that.

How do I get rid of the section of the page titles that reads “DEFAULT STORE VIEW” as mine does when I have followed this exact method? The provided example page does not. Please advise.

Thank you!
