There’s another post that this was mentioned, but it’s buried within another topic, so I thought I’d start a new thread.

I need to display a manufacturer’s list (or attribute list) in my navigation menu. I tried creating a category for each, since it’s easier to use categories, but this causes duplicates in my layered navigation (when viewing items via a different category tree).

maybe the simple way is remove the filter attribute of manufacturer from layered navigation? and keep the navbar you created like category
