The homepage looks different in firefox and IE 7 my webdesigner told me that it is an IE 7 issue (see att)

coder say
ok, it looks ok in ff is due to FF’s strict height width application
while IE allows to expand

i think it is an css problem something with marging and padding. but i’m not sure because i have too less ttechnical knowledge.

I just need to know if thats is right and can be solved easily

thanx in advance for your quick reply

IE 7 still far from a standard compliant browser, but it’s better than IE 6. That being said, your Coder is right about what he said, but if he can’t get IE7 to display your page correctly (not in a pixel perfect sense) perhaps, in my opinion, he is not the right person for your project.

can’t give you anything without seeing the code, but it looks like this:

Agreed.  With enough determination you can get them to display nearly identical if not identical.

for example the boxes on right side are much easier like this ->

<div class="box small">
<div class="content">here your content</div>
<div class="bottom"></div>
</div>

and your css file:

.box.small { background: white url(path/to/your/box_small_bg.gif) top left; width: 200px; }
.box.small .content { padding: 5px; width: 190px; }
.box.small .bottom { background: white url(path/to/your/box_small_bottom_bg.gif) top left; width: 200px; height: 20px; }
