Dataflow Problem

I’ve tried to run multiple profiles and this is what I get every time in the popup window:

* Starting profile execution, please wait…
* Warning: Please don’t close window during importing/exporting data

* Starting Mage_Dataflow_Model_Convert_Adapter_Io :: load
* Loaded successfully: “/home/rawpubli/public_html/var/export/import_gifts_products.csv”
* Starting Mage_Dataflow_Model_Convert_Parser_Csv :: parse
* Found 0 rows
* Starting catalog/convert_adapter_product :: parse

The file I am trying to import a list of about 3000 products. Does that matter? What exactly is happening?

ummm ...how are you doing this? usually import uses files in directory var/import (and not var/export)

I took your advice and uploaded the file from vars/import. I get the same page in the popup window again:

* Starting profile execution, please wait…
* Warning: Please don’t close window during importing/exporting data

* Starting Mage_Dataflow_Model_Convert_Adapter_Io :: load
* Loaded successfully: “/home/rawpubli/public_html/var/import/import_gifts_products.csv”
* Starting Mage_Dataflow_Model_Convert_Parser_Csv :: parse
* Found 0 rows
* Starting catalog/convert_adapter_product :: parse

I’m really confused....

@WaelHReda: post here first lines of your .csv file and provide us more details about the import Profile you’re using.

store attribute_set type sku category_ids name general_category url_key gift_message_available meta_title meta_description image small_image thumbnail custom_design distributor assembly freight additional_info url_path manufacturer weight price cost description short_description meta_keyword custom_layout_update status visibility tax_class_id qty min_qty use_config_min_qty is_qty_decimal backorders use_config_backorders min_sale_qty use_config_min_sale_qty max_sale_qty use_config_max_sale_qty is_in_stock low_stock_date notify_stock_qty use_config_notify_stock_qty

The first line of my .csv file is exactly the list of attributes I had in Admin and which I exported out. I didn’t change anything in the first line when I modified and then tried importing the file. Feel free to ask for any other info…

two things .... attach a smaller version (with say 3 records of the CSV along with the header of the CSV). Also attach the screen shot of the general information screen of your profile

Here is the info…

I tried loading the .csv file but it wouldn’t attach so I just saved it in .xls format.

Would be better if you upload the csv instead of xls

It won’t attach for some reason. If you’d like, I could email it to you.

change your data type to interactive and see if you can process a small batch by uploading the file.

Sorry for the delay. Something came up. But the same screen continues to show in the popup window.

* Starting profile execution, please wait…
* Warning: Please don’t close window during importing/exporting data

* Starting Mage_Dataflow_Model_Convert_Parser_Csv :: parse
* Found 0 rows
* Starting catalog/convert_adapter_product :: parse

I’ve experienced this before with a csv, instead I tried importing using a MS EXCEL XML file instead. Same columns and data, but instead of saving as a .csv I saved as an excel XML. Can you try that?

I just tried that. It’s giving me the same window.

* Starting profile execution, please wait…
* Warning: Please don’t close window during importing/exporting data

* Starting Mage_Dataflow_Model_Convert_Parser_Xml_Excel :: parse
* Found 0 rows
* Starting catalog/convert_adapter_product :: parse

What do you think?
