I am probably missing something very simple, but when I go to checkout, the only shipping method I have enabled (USPS) is not working. Instead I get the standard error message.
To get the USPS test to work you need to put in very specific information for the test server to work. Even knowing what it was I was unable to get it to work. I had to resort to just having USPS switch my profile to the production server. See the attached file for the specifics
Thanks, 4Alarm. Guess I was just being impatient. Got the whole thing with USPS tested and finally set up by this morning. Once they activated my account on their production servers everything in Magento worked fine!
I am still having trouble trying to test on the USPS testing server. I always get shipping method is not avalible. has anyone gotten the USPS test server to work or is the solution to just call usps and have them switch me over to the production server with out completing the testing part.
I’m not understanding this XML test that USPS is requesting. Is this something that Magento handles? If not what on earth do I do to test this? I sent an email asking to be put onto their production server and they said I haven’t submitted a valid XML request yet, but nowhere does it explain how to do this.
