I noticed that the same template (page/templates/links.phtml) is used for top links and footer links.
Is this normal? a bug?
I know I can create a new template but I think 2 different templates by default are more practical.
It is just the same code that generates the content depending on what parameter is passed. It makes more sense to use one to generate both rather than duplicate the code twice. As far as I can tell it is pulling what to pass to the loop based on the layout XML addLink parameter.
