Modify Homepage/Front page in Magento ver 1.0

Serial Killa Total Posts: 76 Joined: 2008-03-22 Malaysia Ignore user	Hello to everyone in Magento Land, I would like to know how to add blocks and content on the main page For example , Featured Product of the Month What’s new / Latest Products Special Price Products I been reading some threads but they are for the older version of Magento, Does that work ? i tried few but none seems to work.
