Magento

I am wondering if it would be possible to use Magento offline to review the catalog, and ideally put items in the wishlist or shopping cart. Then synch when going back online. I have a client that wants to be able to do this. I know there are some browsers, and programs that allow web apps to be used offline . I know that the data base couldn’t be updated, until back online, so I don’t know what things would function. There used to be something called prism, and there is google gears etc. Does anyone know about this kind of thing?
