Hi

I installed magento on my PC running with Web developper controller, so far evrything went smoth after some php.ini tweaking

But (there is always a but) I imported the oscommerce import data through magento connect and had no problem, after installing I get the import screen at :

http://localhost/magento/index.php/oscommerce/adminhtml_import/

but when I try to “add a new oscommerce profile” I get a 404 not found page, but the address return by the link is:

http://localhost/magento/oscommerce/adminhtml_import/new/ (the index.php directory disapear)

So I add the missing /index.php/ directory in between and was able to get the config screen for database data.

Once the screen is filled with the data when you try to save I get the 404 erroe again with this address

http://localhost/magento/oscommerce/adminhtml_import/save/

Trying to add /index.php/ return a 404 error with this link:

http://localhost/magento/oscommerce/adminhtml_import/

If someone had the same problem and solved it please let me know

regards
patrick

I had this same issue along with other links not found in the store frontend.  My problem was with mod rewrite.  After disabling it in the Magento Admin, everything works.  Check out this thread for info on enabling/disabling mod rewrite:  http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/4829/

Hi calyx

Thank you for your reply, I was effectively able to save a profile this way but then I ran into other path problems in the other menus.

I was not able to import the database, I checked all DB data and they are correct, system reply is “Connection error! Please check db configuration!” posted this on another thread also where other magento users have the same problems.
