I have a bulk e-mailer in the cgi-bin dir, when I call it I get the Whoop’s page. Is there a way around this.

This what I want to call:
http://www.thepatchshop.com.au/index.php/cgi-bin/smpro/s.pl
or
http://www.thepatchshop.com.au/cgi-bin/smpro/s.pl

I have tried the htaccess mod but have been unable to crack it.

Any help gratefully received

Ron

I believe the .htaccess file in the root directory uses mod_rewrite to rewrite all url paths except a few that magento allows to point at index.php. You would have to add an exception for /cgi-bin/smpro/s.pl so it’s not rewritten.

Thanks for the reply,
I have tried a couple of things in the htaccess file, but crashes occurred so I will need to do some more homework.

Cheers

Ron
