I’m working on new design for magento. Below you have a screenshot of category page. I’ll be glad if you guys tell me what is wrong, what we can change, what we can move, etc.
It will be free template so i wish all of us will help to build it now and in the next steps

One thing I would change: the headlines of areas like “my cart”, “shop by”, “compare products” (and so on) do not really stand out. They are also not really noticeable as headlines or “area labels” (using the same size and font and color as the main navigation).
Maybe try to change the size, color or background?
On the upper, left side, a small typo:
SHOPP is obviously wrong, it should be SHOP, with one *P* only.
The rest looks really good & well organized.
Yes, as Jorg says, the headings should be a bit more prominent, either by color or size, etc.
But they should be kept on the sober side,
as everything else speaks softly of order and simmetry.
One last point:
the large footer side-to-side bar with its grey text on black background is hardly readable.
A more contrasted choice will help.
Oddly, this is real similar to the one I’m in the process of designing, which is also meant to be an official magento template. I’m going with the whole teal/silver scheme.
That being said, I do like this one. Great minds think alike?
hi nice shot. but its to near to the original default template from magento ...... be more diffrent to the original magento style ....

I think it looks great, I love the bar at the very top with the checkout button and stuff. Nice work! I agree though that I think the sub-headings (Cart etc) need to be more prominent.
Nicely done. Can’t wait to see it in action, and also to hear about how you made it; we’re all aiming to create our own, but may lack a few pieces in the puzzle.
