Hi ,

I have been working with the theme hieracy for quite some time now
What I’d like to do now , is 3 themes for 3 different store
all 3 themes have some things in common and some things seperate
I know magento has fallback to the default theme
but I dont really want to modify this one as it can change in upgrades

Can I have all 3 fallback to a different template rather than default?

Here is another explanation:

When magento looks for a file , it looks first at the theme that is set on the admin
If it cannot find the file , it falls back to the default/default theme
now, I want all my 3 themes to fall back to another theme rather than the default one

Can this be done ?  How ?

Thanks.

in fact, you can change any in default.that’s ok.of course,if you really don’t want to change default theme, you have another choice.use a new interface and copy default as default theme for the new interface, and then your other 3 theme.or you may do some hack in magento code.
