hi i just do a fresh install of magento and all was ok

But, when I access to the admin page all the menu doesnt work.  (i cant click any tab, loook the picture under)

Also in my old instalation i created some categories and now in the frontend doesnt works good too. The menu doesnt works fine.

I think is strange because I have been testing magento since the first beta release and i didnt have any problem.

HOpe you can help me.

What version is this for? Because I know the Magento Preview 0.9.17740 had a bug with the admin menu that wouldn’t list dropdowns. There’s a file you need to download and replace to fix that. Please see this thread:

For admin menu problem, please replace app/code/core/Mage/Page/Block/Html/Head.php with attached file

I am having the same problem. Fresh install with 1.0.

chmod 644 the /js/lib/

may need to 755 the /js/ ..

not sure if the head.php is needed or not, but I have that as well.

I do have a odd problem tho since doing this, when heading to the import/export profiles, and looking at a profile it asked to open ‘blank.html’ as a open/save as, not sure whats causing this but assuming it’s to do with the chmod.

I do not think I am getting the problem with the import/export. Does it occur when you click on the profiles?

yea, when i goto the admin > import / export > profiles OR advanced profiles > step into this area and it tries to open the ‘blank.html’ file.

Doesn’t happen anywhere else.

Well it works. the problem I think was the head.php file
