The project is http://www.como.bg and it was build for our client in no time.
It’s still in Bulgarian only (but English store is coming soon) and still 0.9 version. We have a long TODO list, but the hardest part is already behind our backs - thanks to the genius work of Varien team - thanks guys!
The site will run e107 CMS some day as well, so we are planning to let both systems work together and share the ‘know how’ with both communities.
We’ll give back to Magento project so much as we can - it deserves it.
Really nice. If I were you (or me) I would have decreased the height of the mainmenu to around 70% of what it is now. One of the most annoying things about webshops, forums, etc is when you need to scroll down even if you want to see the first product on the page.
Is your “catalog advanced search” working?
I tried searching for (Висок шкаф PRIMUS 60) by using
Материал ПДЧ
&
Цвят фронт Бук
and nothing came up.
I don’t know the language so I may have made a mistake.
Well as far as know all test made with quick search are ok. We have configured some product attributes such as ‘ПДЧ’ not to be included in the quick search results.
Actually you’re right. I think you did find a bug - I’ll test it with 1.0 and if it’s still there I’ll report it to the dev team.
It seems Dropdown attribute search works only if you don’t choose more than one (dropdown type) attribute.
Hello, it’s me again. Have you got the “Advanced Catalog Search” working??
I have another question.
I created a configurable product A & simple products (from A) A1, A2, A3.
I set the visibility for A to “catalog” & for the simple products to “search”. I think this is the way we want products with different sizes & colors to display. We want A to show up in the catalog & we want A1, A2, A3 to show up in the quick search (SHOP BY) if someone is looking for a “large, green, <$20” t-shirt.
But it is not working on my local site & I can’t get it to work on the Magento demo-shop. It only shows up if I set visibility to “catalog, search” which is not something I want (same image for t-shirt will show up too many times).
The original magento layout is genius - clever and well-balanced, user friendly etc. I don’t see a reason to touch it as it meets all requirements for this project.
However we’ll publish free (thematic) magento design soon with heavily customized layout - just as a proof that we ‘know how’
@norbolig - I didn’t look at the advanced search problem yet.
Configurable products children should stay hidden, the parent product gives you all information you need - don’t forget you have also 2 searchable description areas.
Picture preview is called Lightbox JS. It’s easy to implement it in Magento without even touching the core.
