isn’t your problem related to this one?

Magento was developed on Linux and as such, it is most tested on this platform. Here are some known issues that may result from the use of other operating systems.

1. Under Windows, image uploads do not work at this time. As a result, an administrator will not be able to upload product images.

This was taken from the known issues on the installation guide… As what i understood of the statement above.. adding product images on any Windows OS (XP, Vista) etc. etc. is not allowed… i know i might be wrong.. so i need someone to explain this for me. Reply should be appreciated.. smile

I am using apache server running php 5.1.2

Flash was updated today when I saw that messages.

Funny thing is I could swear it worked before.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Image type and information need to be specified for each store view.

I Finally find a way to insert images…
I’m working on Magento 1.0 on the latest XAMPP testing server on Windows XP professional.
The only way to upload images is using SAFARI browser.

I try everithing and read all articles on this topic.
I try using IE, firefox, Opera, and the only one who let me upload images is Safari.

It is hit and miss for me and IE7 on PC. Sometimes the upload app works and other times it tells me I need to upload flash.

I have had no issues when using firefox on PC.

pankajk - As you can see from the post on 2-29 - I already have flash 9 installed.

It is definitally an issue with ie 7 on a PC and flex.

Magento is working on fixing it.

In most cases it will work sometimes and then other times not.
