Hello People,

I am a developer. I mainly developed for Drupal. I was going to use Drupal+Ubercard for my ecomerce site… till I discovered Magento.

I am organising an online shop based in Australia. It will be an adult shop, so things are a bit tricky.

Question: what’s the best gategay I could use for such an enterprise? Do they all require me to have an SSL certificate on my server? What are you guys using, and how hard was it to get a merchant account?

I currently bank with St. George, but I am not particularly attached to them.

I use paymate, although there is no direct gateway yet… (I am hoping to work on this over the next week or so) but in the meantime I use a manual system they have. CBA also offer a manual system but it does come at a price

The best way to go about it is to use payment gateway that clicks right into Magento. The SSL certificate depends on which host you use and which payment gateway you decide on using. Have a look here for starters… http://onlineassistant.securepay.com.au. It will explain the payment gateway process a bit better.

eway is the best, then you’ll just need one of these installs below for integration, plus the SSL plus your merchant bank account ... about as simple as it gets unless you want a hosted gateway like paypal.
