how would i go about implementing a page redirect on a CMS page?

i dont think i can use a normal bit of head redirect script code on a cms page, at least i havent been able to get it to work. surely someone else has had to use a cms page redirect?
anybody help please? a world of thanks to whoever has a hint
Do you mean like a meta refresh content thing?
