Hi all,

I am trying to implement an SSL solution but calling the URL by https://www.mywebsite.com, magento transforms the URL likte this : http://www.mywebsite.com:443/ which provides the following error message :

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Reason: You’re speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port.
Instead use the HTTPS scheme to access this URL, please.

Hint: https://www.mywebsite.com/

How should I proceed to avoid the display of the port 443 in the url to keep the protocol as https instead of the http protocol ?

Thanks for your patience smile

Well, I’ve been further looking into this problem and the back office is now using the right protocol (https). I’ve tried to avoir the {{port}} thing from the back (admin/system_config , web sidebar) so that I prevent it from being displayed in the URL:

I expected http://www.mydomain.com:443/folder/variable/value/ to become https://www.mydomain.com/folder/variable/value but it did not work. Could someone explain to me why my URL is rewrited this way : http://www.mydomain.com:443/folder/variable/value/ ?

Thanks smile

Everything seems to act in the config.xml !

<frontend>
        <
secure_url>
            <
catalog_category>/catalog/category</catalog_category>
        </
secure_url>
</
frontend>

now, when I acces to a page http://www.mydomain.com/catalog/category/ I access to the secured version of this page without prompting the port in my URL smile

Now I face another problem : I have some links named http://www.mydomain.com/categoryName that is pointing to http://www.mydomain.com/catalog/category/view/id/VALUE and this is not secured (http://www.mydomain.com/categoryName) How should I specify that this URL is a secure_url in my XML file?

smile

EDIT :
simply set

<frontend>
        <
secure_url>
            <
catalog_category>/catalog/category</catalog_category>
            <
categoryName>/categoryName</categoryName>
        </
secure_url>
</
frontend>

Ok, lets keep on having trouble concerning SSL

the one I face now is how to get the entire website secure as in the admin section :

<frontend>
        <
secure_url>
            <
admin>/admin</admin>
        </
secure_url>
   </
frontend>

I don’t know what to put into et frontend/etc/config.xml to secure the whole path.

do I have to proceed this way :

<frontend>
        <
secure_url>
            <
subFolder1>/subFolder1</subFolder1>
            <
subFolder2>/subFolder2</subFolder2>
            ...
        </
secure_url>
   </
frontend>

any help would be appreciated :s

thanks wink
