i updated last week my magento version 8.x to the new one, v. 9.x.
I don’t know why, but this error came:

http://magento.swos.ch/index.php/install/wizard/installDb/

I also tried to install the whole shop again on a clean database, but nothing changed. can anybody help me?
the shop worked with the 8.x version perfect, so I can’t imagine that’s something with hoster?

thank you

I’m getting the same error, does the user have to have temporary tables permissions? I have to ask my host Heart Internet to allow these (which I’ve just done) and will try again tomorrow

Yes, I confirm this.

I found some error on http://www.server.com/magento/index.php/install/wizard/installDb/, but it not serious problem.

I have install with FULL database permission. I notice the problem since 0.8.17240
After I have the problem just “Refresh” this page, installation will continue work.

PDO exception please check attached file. I hope this will be useful.

Thanks

After I received the error I asked my host to allow temporary table creation. After they turned it on I refreshed the page as mentioned above and the installation continued as normal. Thanks.

(it may or may not be related but non of the links in the admin section work, see this post http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/4934/)
