I started working on a project for client, and one of the feature I was asked for is the ability to have different url for the products for different languages. The site will be available in 3 languages: romanian, hungarian and english.

This is very important to make it seo friendly. For ex.: if we have the following url: http://www.mysite.com/category/product.html instead of having http://www.mysite.com/category/product.html?___store=german&___from_store=default I should get the following for romanian: http://www.mysite.com/categorie/produs.html and for hungarian http://www.mysite.com/kategoria/termek.html.

Does anyone know a good extension or a solution for this?

Thak you.

That is a difficult one, Magento needs to know the store that you want to serve from and if there is nothing in the url then it does not know. Magento can use the store name in the urls, otherwise the preferred Google way is a tld per country or at worst a sub-domain but it does not look very nice.

There is one way to do this via GeoIP and our hosting environment is set up for it, extensions are a problem as again Magento bases it on the store so any extensions would add a level of complexity to the situation including needing redirects slowing everything down and really confusing Google.
