At http://67.228.101.61/, I have no default home page defined and receive a 404 error. I’ve gone through 3 upgrades and can’t be sure that it was ever working. The page I would like to make the default and have created in Admin/CMS can be found at http://67.228.101.61/home.

My thoughts were to just edit the SEF URL Identifier for the page in the CMS to be blank to act as the only root page, but it is a required field so I can’t do that. I feel like I have figured out every other thing, but not this… Please help. Thanks in advance.

Also, I just noticed that in my admin, index.php is appended to all the URLs. How do I change that or should I just leave it alone? http://67.228.101.61/index.php/admin/cms_page/

I have index.php but not .html nor default.php.

I figured it out. Somehow at some point, I changed my page in the admin area… Admin>>System>>Configuration>>General>>Web>>Default URLs
You can define the CMS Home Page there.
