All AW_files and directories deleted from my interface directories
Magento database cleaned from all tables coming with lazzymonk blog and 1.0.09 AW_blog

1.0.10 AW_blog installed by Magentoconnect => OK

Copied on my interface directories

No AW_blog tables created on Magento database

MagentoConnect uninstaller performs uninstall not in the clearest way. Setup record still exists in db. This must help:

Run SQL

DELETE FROM `core_resourceWHERE `code` = 'blog_setup'
Clean cache. Refresh page. AW_Blog setup script will run again and create tables.

I’m having the same problems and followed the instruction but it just won’t create the aw tables in my database.
I ran this on an almost identical site with no issues.

I’ve tried everything I can find in this forum and it just doesn’t write the tables.

I run this DELETE FROM `core_resource` WHERE `code` = ‘blog_setup’
then I get the error
[message:protected] => SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table ‘blog_tag’ already exists

So I drop the table from the database, which allows the site to run again but the blog is broken (no tables found)

Really need some help here.

Hi,
This just doesn’t see to work.
Here’s the sequence, I login to php admin,
I see these tables

blog
blog_blog
blog_cat
blog_cat_store
blog_comment
blog_post_cat
blog_store
blog_tag

I run DELETE FROM `core_resource` WHERE `code` = ‘blog_setup’
it says one row deleted.
I drop blog_tag.

Clear cache, reinstall , says it’s find and done but no tables are written to the db.

---------
Second version I don’t drop the blog_tag and I get this error

[message:protected] => SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table ‘blog_tag’ already exists
[string:private] =>
[code:protected] => 42S01
[file:protected] => /home/content/a/i/t/aitproducts/html/lib/Varien/Db/Adapter/Pdo/Mysql.php
[line:protected] => 187
[trace:private] => Array
(

which totally breaks the site.
So it looks like it’s trying to install but won’t as blog_tag is already there.
Please let me know, I appreciate your help but I have to get this fixed and his site blog back up.

thanks

I was having loads of problems with this, I tried uninstalling lazy monk and installing the new version, upgrading lazymonk, installing by FTP, installing through magento connect and it never worked for me first time.  In the end I copied the title, location and text of all of my blogs into a spredsheet, used this fix

DELETE FROM `core_resourceWHERE `code` = 'blog_setup'

except that i had to change “core_resource” to “store_core_resource”

Then I went back in and copied all of the main parts of my blogs back in.  Luckily I didnt have too many but i would have lost them if I hadn’t have copied them out.

I did find in answer to your question tho that when i went back to reinstall lazy monk when i first had these problems that all my posts did come back so they are stored until you run the about to clear them out.

So, I am working in Magento v. 1.1.7.

The extension installed successfully and there is a blog option in the admin and the aw_blog folder was created in the appropriate place for the skin used.

skin\frontend\default\default\aw_blog

however, the aw_blog.xml file is in the layout folder in

app\frontend\default\default\layout\aw_blog.xml

Trying to load the blog page returns the common error:

SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ‘sherman1_tpsc321.aw_blog’ doesn’t exist

So, the tables have not been created, AND.OR I need to move the aw_blog.xml file to the install folder aw_blog in the skin area since my Magento install is not the default.

Why does Magento not allow the extension to create the tables in the db? Could it be it is b/c my hosting provider does not allow it?

SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ‘xxxxxxx_xxxxxxx.aw_blog’ doesn’t exist

I have seen the SQL below but, it creates aw_blog_tags., I meed to create aw_blog.

CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `aw_blog_tags` (
`id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`tag` varchar(255) NOT NULL,
`tag_count` int(11) NOT NULL default ‘0’,
`store_id` tinyint(4) NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`id`),
KEY `tag` (`tag`,`tag_count`,`store_id`)
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 AUTO_INCREMENT=1 ;

FACT: This extension will not work with v1.3.2.4.

I have tried all that has been suggested here and else where, yet no tables are ever created and extension fails to work.

Please move game piece back 5 spaces and try again!
Good luck everyone.
