We are trying to access magento methods from Java code and we were able to access magento methods on http port using xml-rpc.
For doing this we took the reference of page:

Now our requirement is to send the parameters on the secure port i.e https port.
In the above mentioned document we are creating client on unsecure port.
$client = new Zend_XmlRpc_Client(’http://localhost/magento/api/xmlrpc/’);

Is it possible to send request on secure port?
We tried to send request using secure port but we are getting following error.
$client = new Zend_XmlRpc_Client(’https://localhost/magento/api/xmlrpc/’);

org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: Failed to read servers response: Connection refused
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcStreamTransport.sendRequest(
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcHttpTransport.sendRequest(
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcSunHttpTransport.sendRequest(
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcClientWorker.execute(
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcClient.execute(
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcClient.execute(
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcClient.execute(

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
