I have a question about sending “Newsletters.”
I made newsletter through “Newsletter Templates” and I chosen “Queue Newslette” from action pull down menu.
After that I can see the newsletter in the “Newsletter Queue” page but nothing going on.  In the page I can choose “blank” or preview from action pulldown menu.

How to fix this problem?

I just read that wiki, and it made NO SENSE to me whatsoever.

Why isn’t there just a send button? Can someone help me with this? I would very much like to be able to send out a newsletter

This issue has been addressed several times, it’s actually one that I’ve been interested in as well. I created a customized solution that added a “Send Now” button sometime last year. I think Varien plans on adding a “Send Now” button in a later release of Magento. Now, I don’t know if this will help, at all, but there is a MailChimp extension available here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/1208/ebizmarts-mail-chimp-module.

Thanks Mageparts, but i don’t have mailchimp, so that won’t really help.

I ended up exporting my newletter subscriber list and just sending the darned thing from outlook- NOT a permanent solution. You siad you made yourself a “send now” button? That would be ideal!
