I am subscribed to quite a few threads on the Magento forum, however for the last few days I have not been receiving email alerts when new comments are added to those forum posts.

Is anyone else having this problem?

BTW.  I do get blog comment emails.

Hi Lior,

While I haven’t had a flood of old emails, the subscription emails have just started working again (in the last 5 minutes).  So if you have done something - thank you!

I have about 40 threads I am subscribed to, would you still like for me to list some?

Cheers,
Ross.

hmmm…

although, maybe it is a bit flakey.  I didn’t get a notification for your last post above for example.

[edit: actually, I wasn’t subscribed anymore for some reason]

It looks like you have some issue with your email
It sounds like you do get them, but with a big delay

I think maybe the ‘smart notifications’ are too smart for me - it seems to turn off subscriptions to any threads that you reply to, requiring re-subscription for each post.

I have now turned of smart notifications, see how that goes.

i noticed one thing, and i’m not sure if its linked or not, but it might be

when you prepare a post in the forum, if you checkmark the notify me via email button to turn it on, then click preview post, it resets your checkmark box (notify via email) to off in the preview view. (so when you go to post, don’t check the notify via email box until you are ready to submit, after a preview)
