The payment option “pay by check” comes very close to what I actually need:

pay by invoice.

So I just need to change the wording:

Instead of ”pay by check” it should say ”pay by invoice

Instead of ”make check payable to:” I just need ”you will receive via separate mail your invoice

I found where the module is, but If I change it, I will lose my changes once I update.
So I don’t know how to add the modified code to the local codepool.

can anyone help?

I am sure I am not the only one using magento for B2B products with confirmed clients,
so that a longterm relationship with the customers allows us to send out goods without receiving payment first,
but accept payment on invoice once the customer received the goods.

... and no-one nowadays really continues to use checks in europe, other than the french maybe smile

We have changed only our theme (chekout page) to do all this things with this payment method. In this case we will not lose our changes… (but if in original theme changes chekout page we will manualy commit changes to our used files)
