Hello.

I’m quite new to Magento and PHP and I’m trying to put a new module in Magento. It is a slideshow and I only need to include the .php file in the homepage.

I’ve followed the steps from Moshe at this thread: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/3698/P15/#t16474 , with the exception that I have my own name for the module and at this file

3. Create your custom PHP code: app/code/local/Mayerwin/Custom/Block/Test.php

<?php

class Mayerwin_Custom_Block_Test extends Mage_Core_Block_Abstract
{

protected function _toHtml()

{

// put here your custom PHP code with output in $html;
     // use arguments like $this->getMyParam1() , $this->getAnotherParam()

return $html;

}
}

I have

<?php

include('slide/slide.php');

In the CMS, under homepage, I have the following:

{{block type="slide_custom/slide"}}

The slideshow is Ok, it appears normally. But nothig after. I keep getting the “Fatal error: Class ‘Slide_Custom_Block_Slide’ not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\magento\app\code\core\Mage\Core\Model\Layout.php on line 462”
After this message, what should come after simply doesn’t appear. It breaks and the footer doesn’t show up.

I’ve checked all paths and files and it seems ok.
What should I do?

Thanks,

Otávio
