Hello,
I have three websites running off the same root catalog. I upgraded to ver. 0.8.17240 and now when I change the price for a product in a particular store view, it changes in all of the store views. The price setting in the configuration area is set to “website”.
I thought it might have something to do with the upgrade, so I installed a full version of ver. 0.8.17240 on a clean separate database with the Magento Sample Data. I added a website and the same thing is happening there also.
Anyone else have a multiple website setup? Help appreciated.
Thanks,
Séamus

I think you should set the scope to “store view” instead of website. Hope that helps.

Thanks, WaelHReda.
This is no longer a problem with the 1.0 release.
I have to use websites instead of stores because each website has a different currency and the products have different prices.

I have created two websites in the same install and I have some of the same products on both websites but I want the prices to be different. Specifically the special price and even the price.
However, the price is set to global so it doesn’t appear I can change the price of a product for each website.
Second when I try changing the special price (which has a scope of store view) it changes in both storeviews.
I’m on Magento ver. 1.0.19870.2

Same problem here. It actually looks like a bug. When editing a product, for price it indicates scope is [GLOBAL], but in the Attribute settings for Price it indicates that it’s scope is [WEBSITE] - which would make more sense.

I think this issue is resolved. I have some funky code to get fixed from my 1.1.6 install and I think this will work properly. I saw in one of the release notes that this was resolved although I don’t know yet for myself!

You believe it is fixed where? I started with 1.1.6 and it doesn’t seem to work properly…

Give me a few days and I’ll see if I can get my 1.1.6 code 100% updated (it didn’t do a clean update the last time) and I’ll see if it is fixed or not.
Thanks

Hey guys, sorry about that. I figured it out. In System->Configuration->Catalog->Price you can change the price scope.

I’m still experiencing a few bugs with special pricing.
When I set the special price in website A it applies that special price to default and since website B is set to use default then it adds the special price to website b.
My solution - I create a special price on website A and it for some reason added it to the default special price.
Then on Website B I set the special price to the same as the price for the product and it didn’t display the special price anymore.
Thanks
