!
Hello!

We’re a team working on building a Store with Magento.

We want to share a problem that has appeared after several installations with the last version 0.8.17240. The funny thing is that we have done exactly the same installation with the previous version and nothing wrong appeared. We could even finish a complete store without any problem, but with this new version…

(1)We have installed Magento on Ubuntu Linux correctly (fresh install, latest version)
(2)The store is seen correctly both in the Front and in the Back End.
(3)We have created a CATEGORY. Everything is OK!
(4)The problem came up when we wanted to CREATE an ITEM.
(5)We can see the category, but when we want to create the item, the program begins thinking and only a prompt appears: “Loading” is seen indefinitely, and the item does not appear after a long time. There is no error message, but the “Loading” animation dos not stop.

We have done this -exactly in the same way- on three different computers (on two nets completely different): on two of them with Ubuntu Linux (the last version, with all the updates) and also on a Win XP desktop. And exactly the same happens; everything is correct, until we want to create an item.

Thanks for your support!

Are you using SSL?

I had a similar problem creating an item, which only happened when SSL was turned on in the admin area.

No, we didn’t activate the SSL on, because there were problems with this protocol, and we decided to wait until the stable version is issued. So, what can it be?
Can anyone help us? Thanks everybody anyway!
