Hi,

I’m trying to install Magento but it keeps saying mycrpt is required. I’m using MAMP Pro - mycrpt is loaded according to php.info. I’ve reinstalled MAMP Pro and downloaded Magento several times but the error still keeps coming up. Does any one have a work around for this problem?

Find attached details from php.info - I’m using the latest version of Magento and MAMP Pro on Leopard.

Many thanks
rajiv

Hi,

I worked out the problem - this is what I did:

1. Changed permissions of all Magento files / directories to 777
2. Did the beta install
3. Uploaded the sample data
4. Changed memory from 32MB to 128MB - not sure if it needs to be so high
