Hi,

I am using magento for my website of some products and I am facing this problem.

I have many Categories(root) and Sub Categories to which products are related.

For eg, I have link structure like below

Horse

-> Accessories

-> Health & Hygiene

Dog

-> Toys

-> Rubber

-> Soft Toys

When I want to see products of say Horse, I click on horse it shows no products found.

I want all the products of Horse listed, when I click Horse. Is there any way in magento to do this?

Thanks Ved.

do you also need to set the category as “anchor”?
I think you need to do this for the layered navigation anyway.

Yes, make it anchor and make sure all products are ticked for the main category too.

I think it works like that already

make sure Horse is set to anchor and make sure that your products are actually set to appear in Horse and not just Accessories (for example)

You don’t need to put the products in both main and sub category.

If they are in a sub category and the main category is set to anchor, they will appear in the main category and the sub category.
This is how its worked in our store from version 1.1.8 to 1.3.2
