Hi,

on a new magento install (1.3.1) i want to upgrade to 1.3.2.1 but when i go to “Magento connect manager” the section “Manage Existing extension” is empty ...

If i run “./pear upgrade-all” under SSH it says “Nothing to upgrade-all” ...

What’s wrong ??

Everything is running fine except that.

Thanks for your answers.

I’ve been trying to get around this for a while, I’ve even reinstalled the downloader to no avail. Any answer to it yet?

Found a solution that works for me in this post

Basically open ./downloader/pearlib/php/Archive/Tar.php and replace this function…

function listContent()

{
        $v_list_detail
= array();

        if (
$this->_openRead()) {

if (!$this->_extractList(''$v_list_detail"list"'''')) {

unset($v_list_detail);

$v_list_detail 0;

}
            $this
->_close();

}

return $v_list_detail;

}

With this…

function listContent()

{
        $v_list_detail
= array();

        if (
$this->_openRead()) {
            $r
$this->_extractList(''$v_list_detail"list"'''');
            if (!
$r{

unset($v_list_detail);

$v_list_detail 0;

}
            $this
->_close();

}

return $v_list_detail;

}

Then refresh the downloader page, and enter the key magento-core/Mage_All_Latest

You might have to re-enter a few if they’re missing but the image Brent has kindly uploaded is a great guide to see what you need to have in the list.

Solution for CE V1.5

If your Magento Connect Manager does not work after upgrades. What you should do is copy downloader directory (and everything inside this directory) from your OLD working magento site to your NEW magento site.

Basically replace your downloader directory in your new site with your old downloader directory.

Let me know if this solves your problem.

Hey,

what worked for me was to manually upload 1.6.0.0 via ftp over the top of the existing site. This seems to have done the trick.

but thanks for the advise.

regards
Andy.

For magento 1.7.0.2
Drop into ssh
give command
./mage sync
You will see all the packaged installed.

Refresh your magento-connect page in your browser and you should see the list of installed packaged
