Magento

Hi there, I am not a developer so I apologise now for my lack of knowledge on this. I am about to have a website built for selling items which I would upload to one central database and then sell a subscription to local suppliers of these items. A person searching for these items could choose an item and a dynamic list of their local suppliers would appear next to it. Possibly with a google map. In effect each subscriber(Local supplier) would have their own website showing the items (e.g. abc.com/davesstore). The plan would involve 100’s of local suppliers. Is this something that could be done utilising magento as I was going to have a bespoke site built but the demo looks great.
