Have you looked in Admin > Configuration > General > Sore Email Addresses
and
Admin > Configuration > Sales > Sales Emails?

Hi - thanks.... yes I have checked all these, and they all go to a valid [my] email address, all the sales emails point to valid templates....

I get the order confirmation to the customer, but admin gets nothing.

I did check my mail queue and found a test order [failed] that was sent to anonymous@default_server_name in the bounced queue

does magento log emails sent? maybe I’m just not getting them [not in spam]

Sure it does this!

In Admin > Configuration > Sales > Sales Emails
Do you have order emails set for Bcc or separate mail?

A bit more info about what you have set/not set would be helpful…

I am a moron....

thank you, I kept looking at that bcc field thinking “I don’t wanna bcc anyone… “

maybe just a case of working too long and staring at it too long…

I feel silly.

For anyone else being silly:

In order to get Magento to send notification emails to an admin or other user, you must fill in the “Send Order Email Copy To” under admin>system>configuration>sales>sales emails in each notification type you want an email for....

How do I setup an email to the admin when a customer creates a new order?

If you have Admin Email Notifications installed just
go to Configuration > General > Notifications and insert preffered e-mail address.

Thanks for this.

Any way to set up this, but to bcc to different email addresses based on what store the sale came from?

I have a multi store setup, and would like a copy of the sales mail to go to one address per shop.

Hello,

Log in into admin area, then go to “system -> configuration” menu. Within the Sales section: click the Sales Emails and select the first section Orders. Enter your admin e-mail in the field “Send Order Email Copy To”.

Hope this will help you!!

Thanks
