Hi,
I am trying to sort out the correct Postage config.

We ship everything Free to all Australian States, as long as it is paid for.

COD Postage is extra

Registration is Extra

Rest of World postage is a flat fee of $5

No Shipping Calculator required

Any guidance will be appreciated

Cheers

Ron

Not sure what you mean by ‘as long as it is paid for’, but I doubt you can use the Australia Post module for your purpose, as it will always want to calculate the real cost of postage.
You might be able to fudge something using:

Flat Rate for the rest of world
This extension: http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/604/auctionmaid-matrixrate for the rest. You would simply set up the COD and Registered post fees as two separate postage ‘methods’ for within Australia…

Shipping calculator is part of the core of Magento and can only be removed with some hacks,

Hope that helps get you started.

Thanks for the reply and info, I have ‘hacked’ it all together and the Postage and payments work fine. The main issue was dealing with COD as COD is a payment option not a postage one, anyway it’s fixed.

I am having some issues with eMail, all of my test show my clients get there e-Mails just fine, but here at Admin nothing arrives at all. I read this may be fixed by using gMail, but I am reluctant to use it as most of my spam comes from gmail users and therefore I have Thunderbird setup to dump emails from gMail. I reckon I am not alone here.

How does your admin eMail go ?

Cheers

Ron

What do you have set up in Admin > Configuration > Sales > Sale emails ?
My admin and customer emails both work fine (1.2.1)

Cheers

Perhaps try setting them as BCC rather than ‘separate mail’?
