Hi there.
I have problem while installing Magento in configuration step.
I entry all needed information click continue and I receive error:
“PHP Extensions “pdo_mysql” must be loaded”
I contacted my hosting company and they told me that:
“I have verified that pdo_mysql is already enabled on the server. Every check I’ve done confirms that it is installed fine. It should be looking for the pdo_mysql.so in any of these directories:

root@server1 [/usr/lib]# locate pdo_mysql.so
/home/cpeasyapache/src/php-5.3.25/ext/pdo_mysql/.libs/pdo_mysql.so
/home/cpeasyapache/src/php-5.3.25/modules/pdo_mysql.so
/usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/pdo_mysql.so
/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/pdo_mysql.so

The php.ini file references it in the last location, your script could use it from any of those locations though. I would suggest to contact Magento, they’d be able to advise on this.”

Can someone advise me on this?
Thanks a lot Matt.

A couple of suggestions

1. You might want to restart Apache, especially if you have only recently loaded the module
2. What do you get if you look at phpinfo? is it showing that the module is loaded?

I often create a file called phpinfo.php with the following contents

<?php

phpinfo()

?>

then if you just run that in a web browser with something like -

http://www.yoursite.com/phpinfo.php

you’ll see exactly what modules are being loaded for php

Thank you for your answer..
I am discussing this with my hosting company and they are assuring me that this extension is loaded.
They suggested me to ask this :
“is there a way to see where the script is looking for the .so file?”
Thanks Matt.
