How do I… show the tax inclusive price on the product page?
I’ve set up a tax rate, a product etc and changed the catalog setting so that prices on the list/grid view include the tax (in this case VAT) however when I click through to the product page, the price is only showed excluding tax - which is confusing as you will no doubt agree. We need to show prices inc tax all the way through but would still like to add them ex tax and allow Magento to calculate the tax as required.
How do I set the product pages to show the price inclusive of tax, same as the catalog view setting? Either via the admin interface or a file mod is fine…
Those are the settings I have in place - and it’s fine in the list/grid view but when I load the product page I only get shown the price excluding tax. How can I show the inclusive of tax price on this page too?
This is now working in 0.9 and the product page also shows the tax. The display is still a little inconsistent however - even if the system is set to show tax inclusive prices, if tier pricing is enabled then these prices are shown exclusive of tax.
Is there a modification that could be made to frontend/default/default/template/catalog/product/view/type/simple.phtml ?
If a store is set up to show prices inclusive of taxes would it be better for this setting to be carried over to the whole page/system? Otherwise customers cannot be clear on whether a prices includes VAT or not?
