So my main example goes as follows:

I am selling a shirt.  I only have them in large and medium.

Large only comes in red and black

Medium only comes in red and white

So on the frontend there should be two dropdowns.  The first option being:

Medium | Large

If I pick medium, will it know to only show red and white?  Or will it need to show all three?

Yes, it should.  You have to create all the combos before the main configurable product.

I tried to do that and had some trouble....that’s why I asked.  Hopefully you’re right and I’m doing something wrong
