Hello,

A couple of questions regarding PayPal express as a payment option for Magento.

When customers checkout via PayPal express, i receive an email from paypal advising of the payment however it only contains the total and doesn’t have any details about what they have ordered (ie what was in the cart). This is in contrast to PayPal standard payments which includes the full cart when Transaction Type is set to “Individual Item”.

Does anybody know if PayPal express can behave like PayPal standard in this situation?

My second question is that the PayPal express login page does not offer a customer the option to pay without signing up, unlike the Paypal standard page which does allow a customer to pay without signing up for PayPal.

Does anybody know why this is, it seems strange for their to be a difference?

Any help is appreciated.

PayPal Express uses the billing/shipping information on paypal for the order where as PayPal Standard does not.

Hi Tcalp,

That makes sense for my second question. Any ideas on why the shopping cart is not included in the email, only the total?
