I’ve posted this up in the installation forum, but no answers coming back as yet!

I’m trying to upload and run this on 1and1 servers and the install program starts and then starts.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had this issue, particularly with 1and1 and could help me out.

Thanks

No sorry can not help with 1and1 problems. Do they say they are Magento specialists?

I have just opened a hosting account with NuBlue. You can install Magento from the control panel it works fantastic and is all setup within 5 to 10 mins. If you are interested you can find them here

I just commented on your bug report. Without server specs, error_log entries etc. there’s not much for us to dig into.

What Specs do you want JT?

I have no error log entries all that happens is that it installation reaches a certain point and stops!

erniethemilk,

Did you uncomment out the .htaccess lines relevant to 1and1 hosting:

############################################
## this line is specific for 1and1 hosting

    #AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
    #AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

.htaccess file is in the root of your Magento installation

Do you meet the sys req.s for example?

If you’ve got it going on Windows Millenium, there’s not much hope.
