Hello,

I don’t have “Channel: connect.magentocommerce.com/community” in Magento Connect Manager. I have 4 community packages which are installed but I can’t see these extensions in connect manager. I can just see the core extensions.

Any help ?

Hi, can you tell us which version you are using and is it a clean install or an upgrade?

Any idea ?

Still have the problem !

and I can’t uninstall the existing community extensions.

I tried this SSH command : ./pear uninstall magento-community/Unwanted_Package
but It tells me the package is not installed.
I can see the extension in my admin working well.

?????????

Hi

Im new to magento and my first posting.

Ive done a fresh install of 1.3.1.1 and Im having the same problem with no “Channel: connect.magentocommerce.com/community”

What is more worrying is that this thread was started in Feb and hasn’t been resolved to date. Is this the norm and what I should get used to if I run into problems?

Hi,

Re-download each community module one at a time and make sure you press the refresh button after each download. The community module section will appear under the core section after the first re-download/refresh or else it did for us anyway!

Not sure what causes the problem but I think it is something to do with installing multiple modules one after another without refreshing the system in between downloads.

Hope this helps.

Darren

thanks for the reply Darren - appreciated.

Unfortunately that hasn’t worked :(

All a bit odd. Also tried updating to 1.3.2.4 but even though it says it’s installed ok, it doesn’t seem to have upgraded.

ho hum.

my best guess is you’re missing some files.
open the folder:
[your magento directory]/downloader/pearlib/php/.channels/.alias
should contain a file named:
magento-community

open the folder:
[your magento directory]/downloader/pearlib/php/.channels
should contain a file named:
connect.magentocommerce.com_community

and open the folder:
[your magento directory]/downloader/pearlib/php/.registry/.channel.connect.magentocommerce.com_community
should contain a file (actually a registry entry) for each community module you have installed....

Hope this helps a bit…
