Google Base - Price local attribute missing

Hi folks,
So I’m mapping my attributes to Google Base attributes and “Price” is missing from my set’s drop down.  Can anyone guess why this is happening?  I tried to compare the price attribute to other attributes that *do* show up, and I can’t seem to find any item that could be preventing from price from showing up. “special price” and “minimal price” show up, just not “price.”

Any clues?  Its a system attribute and I haven’t changed any of it’s properties, so I’m clueless as to why it isn’t available.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Kristopher

Update:

From what I can tell, only “price” is missing.  Odd.

What I’m thinking my approach to get by this is to download the product inventory, copy the “price” column to “special price” column, and use that.

Anyone have any guesses, though, why price isn’t showing up?

Update:
So I go to export my product list into a CSV file (about 2,500 products) and as the process executes, I get this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1078 bytes) in /<...>/lib/Zend/Db/Select.php on line 1160
I temporarily set my php memory limit to 256mb and it still doesn’t work.

Now I cannot export my products.  It goes from one problem to the next......

Hey ylibrach, and anyone else having this issue:

Can you try something?  Go to your “advanced search” page on your store’s frontend.  Try to do a search by price range only.  Do you get results?

quick note:
It looks like you should be mapping “minimal price” to Google’s “Price.” I’m guessing “minimal price” is calculated by Magento to be either the regular price, or sale price, whichever is lower.  When I mapped this, the google base products seemed to be correct.

On a side note, I could not find any documentation anywhere on this.  It would have been nice to see these things better documented.[/slight rant]

I’m using 1.3.0 and just wanted to post that “minimal price” is working fine when mapped to price in base.  Don’t know why some are having trouble with it, but that is what worked for me.

Wanted to bump this. I’m having the same issue. There is no “Price” local attribute in the local drop-down.

Hi,

Setting up these attributes, are any sent to Google by default?

Cannot find selections on Magento admin for:

Stock Availabilty or Qty?
Product Type ie Category?
Price - though above, you all recommend minimal price
Location - OK we can add this by creating a further attribute
Payment - “
Payment Notes - “

though before I can get this to work, I need to get around this error when I try to add products to Google:

“ *Unable to connect to Google Base. Please, check Account settings in configuration.Error: Authentication with Google failed. Reason: BadAuthentication”

I have double checked login/password details…

Any Help appreciated!

Hi,

A couple of follow ups on above:

1 - Grouped Products; these do not pass ANY price to Google Base, so GB disapproves these products. Surely they should pass say, the cheapest item associated with the Grouped Product, or if there is only 1 product, the price of that item?
2 - Special Offer Prices - these do not appear to pass to GB either? Using minimal price too.

Anyone managed to get either of these to work?

Thanks!
